A Visit by the Harlem Children’s Zone

The district is pleased to host a visit by members from the Harlem Children’s Zone tomorrow. The schedule for our group of visitors, including Geoffrey Canada, will feature an hour meeting at the Chestnut Grove Central Office, and then a field trip to visit various classes which are using Google Apps at Felix Festa Middle School. Google’s Jaime Casap, who was scheduled to attend the event as well, will miss the Clarktown meeting in order to represent Google in a meeting with President Obama and Arne Duncan in Boston. As a district, we are honored to share the collaborative work of our students, teachers, learning facilitators, curriculum coordinators, and others.
