Are you a slouch? Do you think walking is lame? If you do, then stop walking and start learning how to ride a Ripstik. If you like to be cool, this will make you the coolest kid on the block. You will get all the girls. Anyone who is anyone should know how to ride a ripstik. If you want to ride a ripstck then keep reading.

First, if you want to ride a Ripstik find out which foot goes in front. If you put the wrong foot in front, you will fall. It also doesn’t matter if you are right footed or left footed because my friend and I are both right footed and we ride differently. You will most likely fall, so don’t forget a helmet.

Then when you find out which foot goes in front, stand the Ripstik up so it is on the two wheels. Then carefully put it up on the two wheels so you won’t slip. I said that because I fell.  Trust me, if you fall it will hurt so badly.

After that, push off the ground so you can get started. Oh, make sure your shoes are tied so the laces don’t get caught in the wheels. When you push, do not push too hard or you will go flying! Make sure no one is in your way or you will smash into each other.

Next, put your opposite foot on the Ripstik. If you don’t put your other foot on, you will fall. If you don’t like to fall I would stop. I had six bruises when I was done. Oh, and be sure there are no rocks in your way while you are riding.Or you will fall, and it will hurt so bad.

When you are on, swivel your hips back and forth along with your feet. While you are swiveling think of it like you are dancing. That’s what I did and I got better at it. The dancer I thought of was a hula dancer swaying in the Hawaiian breeze.

Finally, keep practicing until you get it. It won’t be long before you are getting really good at the Ripstik. You will never have to walk, jog, run or skip again because you have the totally amazing Ripstik.

I’ll always remember my first time skating. Try to picture me skating, because I had so much fun. Do you want to hear about it? If you do then keep reading.

On my first time skating I was scared and a little bit excited. When I first got on the ice, it was very cold and smelled fresh. I thought I was the fastest skater there. When I got on I figured out that I was the worst skater there. When I got on I fell because I tripped. When I fell, I hurt my arm and the sight of people skating around me was weird. But I kept on trying to get better. It was hard to get better because everyone was skating backwards except me, I felt like I stunk. I just kept falling and my pants were soaking wet. I was so cold and frustrated that I just wanted to quit. I didn’t quit because it was something I really wanted to do.

Now I can skate backwards better then all of them. I felt so amazed at how I have improved over the last five years. I was ready to give up and I’m glad I didn’t. I love it! Now when I see my little brother learning to skate it reminds me of myself. Now he is having trouble skating backwards and wants to quit. I always tell him to keep trying and he will get better just like I did.
