I’ll never forget meeting Marissa.  It was over 4 years ago.  It was at Tennyson Park when I was 4 and she was 5.  Do you want it to hear about it?  Well, I’m going to tell you anyway.  So imagine Marissa and I as adorable 4 and 5 years olds.  Marissa was getting back from softball practice at Tennyson Field.  Her team was the Cougars

She went to the playground, I was there too.  I didn’t really notice her that much.  We were really shy but I’m glad she sucked it up and I was REALLY happy she noticed me.  So anyway, we were begging for a playdate.  Our parents said “We’ll see.”  We played all sorts of games but my favorite was…before I tell you it’s a little cheesy because we were young -  DUN DUN DUN Chinese secret agent game.    It was fun, weird and exciting at the same time.  First, you had to get the super secret tracking device to find the sumo wrestler,  the random boy that we found.    Next, you went down the super secret slide (a.k.a. Triple ST).   It was just a dusty little slide.  Then, you had to clImb the super secret monkey bars (Marissa taught me how to climb them) to get away from the laser sharks.  Finally, you fought the wrestler, face  to face.  Of course the adorable Becky and Marissa won, saved the world and THE DUMPLINGS!  I know it’s hard to believe that we (especially in tiny form) could win a battle like that!  We had a lot of fun playing.  Inside my head I could imagine I was on an adventure with black suits and black lines under my eyes but in my head we didn’t look Chinese.

Though I have other great friends, Marissa is one of the best.  I learned a lot of things that day:

1.   You can be great friends just in one day.

2.  It’s easy to make friends.

3.  5 year old Marissa can REALLY kick butt!

THE END or is it?  DUN DUN DUN!

Have you been on a cruise?  Well if you have, then you have to go on one with a pool, arcade, spa, exercise room, 5 star restaurant, movie theater, auditorium, and bedrooms. If you want to hear more you have to come on this cruise.

This was my first time on a cruise.  I could smell the salt water and hear the boats blowing their horns. I thought there would  be a lot of stuff to do. There were so many things to do. The things I could do - pool, arcade, spa, exersize room, movie theater, auditorium.  I wanted to do it all. The Great Hall was so huge and a lot of people were talking. The Great Hall was a huge place were people would come down to go to the lower floors. Later, when my mom saw the spa she fainted because she always wanted to go to one. After, she fainted we had to carry her up all 42 steps. When I got to our room I smelled food from the restaurant. Then I remembered that I didn’t eat breakfast so I was very hungry. Finally my mom woke up and we all went to eat the food. After, we ate we went to the wave pool. The wave pool shot out waves every 5 minutes. When I got hit by a wave, I got thrown to the floor. The pool got deeper and deeper as you went more far out to the pool I also couid not breath.

After a week or so my family went home. I loved my trip on the cruise. I felt so despondent and very happy. I felt very happy to go home, but the sad part was when I had to leave this WONDERFUL cruise.

I’ll never forget the day my sister went to the hospital. It was scary but it all worked out. That day changed my life. If this didn’t happen to you just keep on reading. Now you’ll read about what changed my life.

In the beginning, I woke up at 8:00 in the morning. I got in the car and went to the Nyack Hospital. When I got in the car I was freezing cold. I went to the Nyack Hospital because my sister got her appendix removed. I was very happy to see her! I stayed up all night making her a card. When I gave it to her she said “Thank you. I love it!” The card was in polka dots but the colors were in red, blue, green, and all the colors I had. She looked happy that we were there to visit her but after a while she was looking tired.

Next, I watched TV with her. In the episode there was Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy Doo. They we’re looking for clues in a haunted house. When my sister Julie needed to go to the bathroom my mom and I helped her. We helped her because she couldn’t walk as well as she used to.  At 5:00 we ordered some soup, chicken, and some rice. It was delicious but the rice could have been improved. It was much dryer than usual.

Finally, it was time for me to leave. I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay with my sister Julie. When I got home I went to sleep worrying about my sister Julie.  She looked tired and sad.  I was not happy at that moment. When I left she said ”Goodbye.I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Once I went to a beach called Horseshoe Bay. The beach was awesome!  Do you want to hear about it? Well, if you do then get ready to listen because I’m going to tell you.

The beach was actually quiet. I not only smelled the smell of the ocean and the beach, but I smelled the smell of hotdogs from the snack bar. Then, I saw there was a really cool cove! When I went inside the cove I started to swim out because it was starting to get deep. When I was almost out of the cove a wave came so I hit a rock! I felt like I was being thrown! It hurt really badly because the rock cut me on my leg. After that, I went snorkeling. I thought I saw a stingray and I got so scared! Would you be scared? Later, I collected some pink sand. The sand was warm and soft. And it’s such a cool color! There weren’t many shells in the sand either. Near the end of the day at the beach my sister Courtney and I made up really cool water games!

I had the best day ever at Horseshoe Bay! And I hope I go back one day because it’s an amazing beach.

Have you ever broken your arm before? If you did, how did it feel? I’ve broken my arm before! On the first day of school no less! This is the story of how and when I, Julia the Great broke my arm.

Well the week before kindergarten, I was riding my bike on the dead-end near my House, and Dear Reader just so you know, I was Very confident of myself because I’d been practicing for a while now.     So, when I got on my bike I was fine. No marks, no bruises, not one skinned knee. I rode down my driveway perfectly fine. So then, I looked back at my dad, and that’s how it all began. I looked at my dad and he looked at me.  “Yay’ Julia, your doing it, Whoa!”  I was wobbling over to the curb. “Uh-oh, Oh-no, Oh-boy, Whoa! Julia’’ my dad yelled. “Are You o-Kay?”

My dad came running over to see if I was alright.’’ Look at you’’ he said. By now My arm was really hurting. It was crushed against the curb against me and on top of it all, like that wasn’t enough, my bike fell on top of all of us.      My dad carried me home in one arm and my bike in the other. When we got home, he iced my arm and called my mom. I could barely hear her on the phone.     Then he came into the living room and said c’mon lets go.  Where to? I asked.  Before he could answer my question, My mom came in the door. The first thing she said was ‘’Julia, honey, are you okay?’’

Mom, Dad, Me, and my little brother Jake (who was sleeping in his crib the whole time) went to the hospital.  So while we were there, my mom came in the room were I was, and my dad left with Jake. Here came the doctor. He took mom and me to a dark room. He lay me on a bed with a machine on top. He told me I was going to get an X- ray.   After the X-Ray, he told my mom some grown-up stuff I didn’t understand. I think it meant  I had broke my  arm.

The next day we went to a large building called   X-ARM. I got a bright pink cast from my fingers to my shoulder. Also I got a  big blue sling.  That was it. The whole darn juicy thing.   Today when I think about it, It’s not such a big deal.

When I went on a catamaran I had a great time! It went as fast as a motor boat and only had a sail. If you want to read more read on.

We were in Turks and Cacaos. The boat looked like two canoes connected with a four foot base and a six and a half foot sail. The waves were pretty high. I went on it with my sisters. The water was clear then white. It felt like flying. We were speeding over waves. It was better than a bike. My mouth was dry and I was amazed.

When it was over, I wanted to do it again and again!  I had a great vacation.

Over the summer I went to the Outer Banks. I think you should go too. The beach and the houses are so amazing! Would you like to hear about it? Then please listen up because I’m going to tell you about it.

Well, when I first got there I was so excited! Everyone was taking pictures. The first room I went into was the movie room. It was so cool; it had 14 recliners and a huge flat screen TV. I wanted to sleep in there.  Also, the kitchen was really big. The kids ate so much that people had to go to the store every morning. They bought so much every day.  The room I stayed in was the best in the house! Six girls stayed in there. Of course, I slept on the floor. It had a fireplace and a Jacuzzi.   I felt like a princess living in such a big house.

On the second to last day we had a photographer come and take a picture for us. We each had to wear a white shirt and blue pants. It was on the beach. The sand felt warm and soft between my toes. It smelled like saltwater. The beach looked so pretty. The shells were so beautiful. The waves were loud!  the birds were so annoying. They were making loud noises and trying to steal our food. After, we had lunch by the pool. The water in the pool was always nice and warm.

The next day we left and I was really sad. I was upset, because I had to go home. It was so nice and beautiful  there.  I want to go back next summer.  That’s my wonderful trip to the Outer Banks!

I remember when I got hit in the head with a door. I was pretty young too. If you want to hear it, sit back and get ready to listen because here I go!

It happened like this. My sister and I were trying to get my other sister into my parent’s hotel room (In one of those doors on the side connecting the rooms). My dad saw and looked unhappy. He came over and slammed the door, but he didn’t know I was behind it. Before I got hit I was scared, because I saw a big door coming fast at me. The door slammed on me and hit me in the forehead. It felt like a big stab that happened really fast and it was gushing blood. When I got hit it hurt so much. I was also sad and mad because I disobeyed my dad, he said to be careful with the doors. Also I was confused because I didn’t know how I ended up behind the door. I also felt a little silly because I was careless.

My dad was even more upset. He called the hotel doctor up to see me. He said I should go to a treatment center. They took care of me and I still have a mark. Now everyday when I see that mark I remember how much it hurt. Thank godness it doesn’t hurt anymore!

I have great memories of Disney World and all the fun rides. All the rides were heart racing and fun! Now do you want me to tell you about it? You Are going to love it!

On my first day my brother and I were anxious to go on all the rides but, my mom and dad said, “We have to unpack and settle down”. Once we got  to the hotel the  scenery was so beautiful!  After that we went out for lunch. Then we went to our first amusement park, Magic Kingdom!  One ride was The Haunted Mansion. It was realistic. I thought it was real! I wanted  to ride it again.    Another ride was the Aladdin Magic Carpet. It was realaxing - not like other rides. Another great event was going to Cinderella’s Castle, It was so crowded! I was squished. I thought I lost my parents. We wasted a lot of time for one little picture. I was getting annoyed.  Once I took my picture, I went to the top floor and the fun started! When I got there it was so cool! I met the fairy godmother and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

The last park was picture perfect.  It was like Hollywood. They had all of the Disney characters. We saw a show called Indiana Jones.  It was full of excitement. I really enjoyed my trip to Disney and I hope I will visit again.

Here is an amazing story about how I found my gigantic turtle. I bet you want to hear about it! Well if you do, than go back 3 months and get ready for a great story!

It was a long day at school and I was waiting for my dad to pick me up. To pass the time, I would talk to friends. When my dad came he called me over very quickly as if there was a bomb in the school! When I got into the car I asked what was happening. He said that everything was ok except that there was a turtle under my sister’s car!   Inside I felt a little scared. I was worried because it might go onto the road and get run over. When I got home it was still there. I was so relieved! My dad went to get a box and I just watched the turtle. It wasn’t soon before she tried to run away. I stopped her, and she tried to bite me but she missed. Eventually she calmed down and my dad got the box and we left for the pet store. When we got there, the guy said we could keep her.

It was a phenomenal day! I was so happy that my dad found my turtle! Before and after dinner I studied my new turtle. I realized that she only had 3 legs! When I went to sleep I couldn’t wait to see my turtle again!

I’ll never forget my first time on an airplane.  I was 6 and in first grade. I felt so scared! Have you ever gone in an airplane? If you haven’t keep reading.

When I  got on the  airplane it was so loud.  I heard the loud noise of all the people talking. That made me scared. I was afraid the plane would crash. Then, when we took off I saw  the people walking back and forth.  When they came around with snacks and drinks, they were great. All I heard was the crinkling of the snack bags and the slurping of the drinks. It   was really loud. I was sinking into my seat because it was so comfortable. After that I watched a TV.  I  watched Sponge Bob Square  Pants, and then I played my DS. Then I read my Disney magazine. By the time that I did all of  that we were there.

Now I love airplanes because they are safe and fun.  I love them because they take me to different places. Now when I go on airplanes I feel excited and happy.

Would you like to meet my puppy? She is a kooku bird. Her amazing name is Ally! I got her when she was 10 days old. Ally is a yorkiepoo! I am wondering if you would like to meet my cat, Signmund? He is 16 years old. I think that is a wonderful number. Ally and Signmund like to fight. Dunt Dunt Da!!

When they see each other, Signmund whacks Ally in the face and then he whacks her in the face again. Then Ally bites Signmund’s tail and she pulls hard. When they do this, I sit in a chair and watch.I think it is funny because after she bites his tail, she crawls under him and stands  up!  Signmund does not like this and He tries to get a way, it does not work and Ally does it anyway.

The fights ends when Signmund manages to get away over the gate. I bet he is so relieved that he got away. He also might be thinking “Boy, I’m glad thats over.” But Ally jumps up on the gate, feeling sad and despondent  that Signmund got away. It’s always a great show!!

Have you ever gone to Puerto Rico? It’s a part of the United States where you can go on vacation.  It’s awesome! Would you like to hear about it? Get Ready! Here we go.

On my first trip to Puerto Rico it was fun because there were a lot of palm trees and the weather is always warm. The palm trees are tall and they have really big leaves and many coconuts on them. The other thing I like about Puerto Rico is that there are many different kinds of fish swimming in the ocean.  The ocean water there is crystal clear, just like the kind that comes out of the faucet.  While I was swimming under water, I opened my eyes and I saw a flounder. I also saw all different kinds of fish like a puffer fish, a black and yellow fish, and a really long fish.  The last fish I saw was a fish that had streaks of orange and yellow in it and it had a really weird antenna. The other thing I liked about snorkeling was that you are right next to the fish and you could see them eating off of the rocks. It was so quiet under the water and it felt like I was the only one in the whole world!

On my trip I saw many other things but snorkeling was the best. Snorkeling was the best because there was so many fish in awesome colors and it was really cool to be swimming right next to them.  It was the best trip ever!

When I first met Rebekah she was wearing a brown shirt with brown pants and a denim jacket. I was wearing my softball uniform. I saw flowers blooming and trees turning green. I felt a little shy but I sucked it up and asked her to play with me. And she said yes.

First imagine Rebekah and me as cute little adorable four and five year olds. We played on the swings and sang la da de la da do la da dum about 15 times. Next we played the super ultra mega Chinese secret agent game! We had to get the exploding dumplings from an evil sumo wrestler (aka random boy in the park). We used the super secret slide tunnel . Next we used the supper secret monkey bars to get pass laser sharks that he will use to take over the world. DUN DUN DUN! Then finally we fought face to face to face to get the exploding dumplings. Obviously the adorable Rebekah and Marissa won and saved the world from the evil sumo wrestler. Finally it was getting late so our parents arranged a play date for us the next week.

Now at first I felt shy. But I knew this was going to be a long long long everlasting friendship because Rebekah and I are best friends forever THE END!  Or is it DUN DUN DUN!

Do you want to hear about picking my cat out? Well if you do you are up for some funny things that happened to my family while picking my cat out. So if you love animals I suggest you read this storyJ

One day we decided getting a pet that didn’t live in water would be a good idea. So we went to Petsmart first, then we went to the animal shelter. Neither  of the places  were able to give us a  cat that same day. After that I thought we would never get a cat,  but luckily my brother read the comics that morning. When he was flipping to get to the comics he saw a Petco article. He remembered as we drove by the plaza he said really quickly so my mom could the turn  ”Let’s go to Petco!”

So we went to Petco and they had cats! “There are so many cats,” my brother said. My future cat Domino was in a cage with his sister. My brother and I, said to my mom could we get him?

While my mom was thinking a girl said “mom could we get this cat?” NO, NO I thought this is going to be my cat. I wanted to get him because he had a beautiful diamond on his nose and he had beautiful fur.  As  her mom was  about to answer I ran over to the cat and said “You’re coming home with me” My mom saw how much I wanted this cat she told My brother and I,YESJ!I jumped with joy and gave my brother a high five. I was amazed that my mom said yes.  When we got home, I played with  my new friend.

I loved that cat as soon as I saw him. In my family we pretend he is our brother because he is so loving and nice to our whole family. The funny thing about my cat is, you think the people who brought him home would be the ones who  he would love the most but as you know in this story I did not mention my dad because he was not there.  Yet my cat still loves my dad the most!

I remember when I first went to the Rocky Mountains. I went there in March 2008 not too long ago. Would you like to hear about it? I thought so. Ready? Let’s go!

My first time in the Rocky Mountains was fun and scary. I was excited to speed down the mountains on my snowboard and go down all the slopes.  But I was a little scared going down the mountain because I could crash into a tree and break my leg, or if the altitude was too high I would have trouble breathing.

Right after I went up and down the slopes, I wasn’t scared at all! It was so exciting and fun! I felt like I was flying high above the mountains.  After that I thought I can accomplish anything.   It was so much fun in Colorado, and I hope I go again next year!!

I’ll always remember my first time skating. Try to picture me skating, because I had so much fun. Do you want to hear about it? If you do then keep reading.

On my first time skating I was scared and a little bit excited. When I first got on the ice, it was very cold and smelled fresh. I thought I was the fastest skater there. When I got on I figured out that I was the worst skater there. When I got on I fell because I tripped. When I fell, I hurt my arm and the sight of people skating around me was weird. But I kept on trying to get better. It was hard to get better because everyone was skating backwards except me, I felt like I stunk. I just kept falling and my pants were soaking wet. I was so cold and frustrated that I just wanted to quit. I didn’t quit because it was something I really wanted to do.

Now I can skate backwards better then all of them. I felt so amazed at how I have improved over the last five years. I was ready to give up and I’m glad I didn’t. I love it! Now when I see my little brother learning to skate it reminds me of myself. Now he is having trouble skating backwards and wants to quit. I always tell him to keep trying and he will get better just like I did.

I had a great time at Lake George! I did a lot of fun stuff! And saw a lot of cool things! Do you want to hear about my vacation? If you do keep reading.

I saw a lot of cool animals. Some I never saw before, some I never saw up close and some were annoying. These are the animals that I saw:

First I saw something in the lake. It was splashing and was brown with a big tail. It was close to the rocks. I looked closer and I saw a beaver. I saw them at night a lot. They were making a lot of noise, a gnawing sound. There was two or three of them. They took a lot of bark off of a tree that fell down.

The next animal was a bald eagle that flew over my boat. It was 20 feet in the air and it was huge and brown and white. It was fastly soaring through the sky. Then it flew away and I looked for it, but I never saw it again.

The worst of the animals were the geese. They annoyed me with their loud squeaky quack-like noise. I screamed at them and scared them away, but they still came around the campsite four or five times. I wished they would leave us alone, but every day they kept coming back to our campsite.

The last animal was what I thought was a little black cat with a bushy tail, but it was a mink. It was black and furry. Its body looked like it was stretched out like a ferrets body. It was fast and it scurried around. It lived under rocks in a shallow cove. I saw it twice.

It was so exciting to see all of those animals, (except for the geese, they really annoyed me.)  I had never seen that much animals in 1 place besides the zoo. Go to Lake George and you will have a great time! J

I will tell you all about my first time in my room. I was about 1 year old. So that would be about eight years ago. Could you imagine me as one year old? I couldn’t even believe how small I was when I saw my baby picture! Are you ready? Then let me tell you all about it.

In September, I went to my house. It was very big to me. But it wasn’t that big to my mom and dad. I saw my brothers go to their room. After, I went to my room. I was very exited. The first thing I did was that I looked up at my big crib. I was very shocked at how big it was to me. When I went inside it felt very soft. Second, I looked out the window and saw the car we rode in. Third, I opened a door to my closet. It had a lot of clothes in it. Next, I found little markers. I played with them. I also drew with them. Then, I found my teddy bear. So, I played and touched it. It felt very soft. After, that day it became very special to me. I brought it everywhere. I felt very safe with it.

The last thing that happened that day was that my mom came in and told me to go to sleep. I felt very happy looking at my whole room, but at the same time I felt exhausted. I fell asleep. It was a very long day.

One day I went to the Catskill Game Farm it was about 3 years ago. So  make sure you have a seat belt on your seat.  This story is funny!

One day I went to the Catskill Game Farm.  It smelled bad and it was a hot day.   I went to the place where you get crackers and milk to feed the animals.I saw deer, lions, tigers, zebras, bufflos, and elephants.I was able to pet the deer.  Their noses felt cold and wet.   There were so many animals!  I was petting them.  There was one deer that was going to have babies!   She had a HUGE stomach. Suddenly, there were so many animals coming at me!  I was really scared!!  I was worried that I was going to fall.

When I was walking back to get away from the animals, I fell on a baby pig!!!!!!!!   I felt so bad for it because ir squealed so loud, and it just laid there.   I ‘m not sure if I cried or not.  I was really embarrassed because everyone was staring at me.  So to make it up to him I gave him rest of my milk.  ( He really liked that)  My cousins thought it was funny, but I didn’t!

When the day was over, I was tired.  But I was glad that I had a good day.  Now, I will always remember that day!                                                  THE END

Do you have a Gyradose?  I do.  Gyradose are considered as super strong Pokémon.  Do you want to know how to get one if you don’t have the super rod?  It’s hard to imagine that Magicarp, the weakest Pokémon in the Hoen, Jhoto, Kanto, and Sinnoh evolves into a Gyradose.  Just close your eyes and imagine the weakest Pokémon evolving into one of the strongest.  Now be prepared to hear how my Magicarp evolved into a Gyradose!

I was fighting a fisherman on the left of Eterna City.  I already beat five of his Magicarp with my Magicarp, I was on level 19.  The fisherman sent out a Gyradose!  It looks like a blue dragon that can fly and has a big mouth with sharp teeth. I used Tackle which is a 35 power move.  It only damaged like 1/10 of its  Health Points (HP).   Then it used Tackle.  It did like 4/10 of my HP.  I could hear the ding-dong when I had low HP.  When I heard it, I felt very nervous.  I kept on using Tackle.  I had to use 6 potions to restore my HP.  Potions are medicine that restores 20 HP.  I felt relieved and ready to finish the Gyradose off.

When I beat the Gyradose, I had 19 Tackles left to hurt my opponent’s Pokémon.  You could use Tackle 40 times.  I got 1001 Exp. Points.  Then my Magicarp evolved into a Gyradose and learned Bite, which is a really strong move.  I don’t know why the fisherman didn’t use Bite.

I felt grand and very proud after going through all the frustration of battle.  I also felt happy that I finally had a Gyradose.  I was amazed to see how strong it was in battle.  I felt like I had made a colossal accomplishment.  Smile

It was the third inning and there was a man on first. I was up with a 1 and 1 count. On the next pitch I hit a roller down the third base line.  As I was running to first I felt the cold air coming right on me, but when I got to first I knew that I just got my first hit in a baseball game ever. It felt awesome! I heard my dad scream great job Mikey, and my mom was so proud because she had the biggest smile on her face. I saw everyone jump to their feet.

When it was over, my parents gave me a big hug and we talked about the hit for an hour. At dinner time we kept making believe we were the announcers and we kept saying (Mikey gets the hit. What a hit, right down the third base line.) That was one of the best things that ever happened to me and I will never forget it.J

Have you ever been to a Jonas Brothers Concert? I did! If you want to hear my story, just relax and you can hear my story. You are up for something fantastic! Are you ready? Let’s go! I hope you enjoy it!

On August 16, 2008 I did the most exciting thing. I went to a Jonas Brothers concert. There are 3 boys in the group. It took my mom and I an hour and a half to get there. The concert was in New Jersey. On the way there, we saw cars that said “We are going to the Jonas brothers Concert!” It was so wonderful to be there.

We got V.I.P passes. It’s not what you think. I didn’t meet them unfortunately. You go in a special line which takes you to a place which has food and drinks.   Then, we went to where the concert was going to be. We were about fifteen rows away from the stage. The stage was colossal! Right before the concert started, we saw people going backstage. They were very lucky. They were also playing people’s text messages about the Jonas brothers on the two huge TV. Screens.

All of a sudden the opening act, Demi Lavato came out and started singing. That time nobody stopped everyone from going all the way up to the stage, where Demi was performing. She touched my hand, but I don’t really care. I was so excited for the Jonas Brothers to come out.   They are amazing singers .Some of their songs are “A little bit longer”, “Lovebug”, “One man show”, Play My Music”, “ Hello Beautiful”, and “Australia”.

When the Jonas Brothers finally came out, girls were screaming so loud that probably for a week they couldn’t talk.    They sang for about 2 hours without stopping. They are breathtaking. There were people taking pictures like crazy, including me. When we were on the way to the car, we saw their tour bus! I was sad and tired because it was over, but excited to have this experience to go to a Jonas Brothers Concert. It was amazing!
