Why Owls sleep in the day by Jay

     Long ago, every animal slept in the night but only one, owls. It all happened when Owl’s kids always asked him for food every morning.

       “Father, can you get us food?” The three owls asked.

      “Okay but only a bit.” Owl said.

      “The three owls said, thank you!” Owl always had to race with other animals for food.

      “Out of the way I have a family to feed!” Owl said.

      “Think about others too!” Another owl said.

      “Don’t forget about me!” Owl said.

      Owl was so tired that he slept through the whole morning and woke up in the evening. Then he was hungry. He searched everywhere and saw a ton of mice. Hmm Owl said, Maybe I can stay awake for the rest of the night and sleep in the day. So that what Owl did. And now that’s why owls sleep in the day.
