Skinny Bones by Barbara Park

        The book I read is called Skinny Bones. The book is about two boys named Alex and T.J. Stoner. T.J. Stoner is a kid who likes baseball and who brags to everyone saying he is the best, although he is good at baseball. Alex is a kid that is a little leaguer who gets mad when T.J. brags. So when Alex gets mad he tells lies saying he’s the better at pitching then T.J., but he’s lying.

         I loved the book because it got me interested when Alex made up a lie saying he was better then T.J. in pitching. But Alex was lying to get T.J. mad. So Alex didn’t know that T.J. knew how to pitch, so T.J. said ok lets have a pitching competition. But since Alex lied, and he didn’t know how to pitch, he tried to lie out of the competition, but he couldn’t. That’s what got me interested because Alex said he was going to practice and I didn’t know if Alex was going to win!

Mallory on Board

        This book is about a girl named Mallory.  She does not want her best friends’ dad to get married because they will move. But she has to let him.  And they get married on a cruise. Mallory is now mad. But she loves being on the cruise. And she has a lot on her mind.

         I loved this book because a lot of adventures happen on the cruise.  And it’s kind of a mystery because you don’t find out if they get married until the end of the story. I just loved that book!!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

     Diary of a Wimpy Kid is about a kid named Greg who has one friend. Greg thinks he’s cool. But he isn’t at all. He has a brother named Roderick that’s his older brother. And Greg is a D student in school. He failed gym.  At his house he got a three wheeler and Rowley, his friend, went down a hill with it and Greg threw a ball at him.  And he broke his friend’s arm. In school Greg’s friend got a lot of girls so Greg broke his OWN arm.

      The thing I loved was that he was so funny. I also love that he’s an idiot. I also think it’s funny, and it’s the number1 New York’s Times best seller.

Franny K. Stein Mad Scientist Attack of the 50ft. cupid

      This book  is   about  a  girl named  Franny   who  is  a  mad  scientist.  She  looks  really  mean,  and  she  is  really  different  than  other   kids , and  different  from  her  family.  She  created  a  machine  that  made  Cupid  come  to  life, because  her mom  gave  her   a  stamp  of  a  Cupid.  He  got  bigger  so  did  Franny.She  stopped  him  by  giving  him  milk  and   zapped  him  with  a  machine.

      I  loved  the  book,  because  it  has  pictures,  and  it  entertains  me  in  what  she is  doing.  Like  when  she   saw  the  big  giant  Cupid she   was  shocked.  Her  eyes  were  popped  out,  and  I  was  laughing  a  lot.  There  are  good  books  from  Jim  Benton.  He wrote  1-5 books!  I  hope  you  like  this  book  if  you  read  it.

Swindle

                       My book is about a boy who accidentally sells a valuable baseball card. At first Griffin plans a sleepover with his friend Ben in a haunted house that is about to be demolished the next day. Then he finds a rare Babe Ruth baseball card that has been out of view for many years. Then he finds a man named Swindle who tricks him out of his card. He pulls together a gang to try to get the baseball card back that is worth a million dollars.   I love this book because it was cool and exciting. It is also fun and a little bit scary at the start. I think other people will like it, because it about a boy who wants to find a baseball card.

Rover Saves Christmas by Roddy Doyle

            In Rover saves Christmas Rudolph goes on strike. So Santa must find a replacement. So that happens to be Rover the dog. At the end Rover saves Christmas!  I love this book, because it has lots of humor. There are funny commercials. The commercials are  about tooth paste. They always talk about tooth paste. They are so funny! Try this book. Go to the library, check it out.

Runaway Ralph

        The book is about a mouse that runs away from a hotel and goes out into the street and gets into a fight with a dog and gopher and a cat. A boy saves him by catching him with a butterfly net.  He treats the mouse very well.  His aunt helps him by not letting anyone touch the mouse because the boy caught him so it’s his responsibility. I think other people will like it, because it seems like a movie, and you would like to read the book instead. It’s  entertaining, and some parts might be good to entertain parents and kids.

Campfire Mallory

       This book is about a girl named Mallory who is  going to sleepaway  camp with her next door neighbor’s brother and her best friend  Mary Anne.  Mallory isn’t sure if she wants to go .Her parents are trying to convince her that camp is going to be great .When Mallory leaves for camp she sits with Mary Anne on the bus and meets a girl named Taylor.When they get to camp,Taylor and Mary Anne are in the same group, and Mallory is all alone.  Luckily Mallory  meets another girl named Carine Greene. .Does she have a great summer ? Read the book to find out.

        I love this book, because it is very funny and a lot of different things go on.She ends up being really happy, and wanting to stay a lot longer.  I think I want to go there in the summer I.bet you will too after you read this book.

Lunch Money By Andrew Clements

                 There was a boy, he loved money so he decided to sell comics books. When he did,  he called his first comic book The Mystery of  the Magic Stone!” each book was $25.00.There was a girl that was jealous so she decided to make her own comic book  It was called” The Lost Unicorn.” But later the boy found out that the girl stole his comic book,  and they got into an argument. Later on they became friends, and every Saturday at 2:00 the girl would come over to the boy’s house and the boy would teach the girl how to draw comic books. But later the principal found out about the comic books and both the boy and the girl got into trouble. Finally, they worked together and made a lot of money and then they split the money up, and they both saved it. 

        I love the book and I think people should read it, because it is funny and interesting to read!

The Doll People

Annabelle is a doll who is  eight years old looks, but she is really over a hundred! When she finds her missing auntie Sarah’s journal, her uncle and she go on an exploration. But then they meet another doll family, the Funcrafts. In the Funcraft family there is a girl doll named Tiffany. Tiffany and Annabelle go on daring adventures of S.E.L.M.P. To find out what S.E.L.M.P is and what happens next read The Doll People!

       I loved the fanastasy part of the story, the adventure part, and the mystery part. I liked those three parts, because those are my three favorite genres. This story has fantasy that will keep you hooked, adventures that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and mysteries that will make you want to read more.  You will like this book a lot!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Roderick Rules

    Diary of a Wimpy Kid Roderick Rules is about a wimpy kid that got a kind of curse called the cheese touch. The cheese touch is a curse that if you ate the old cheese on the basketball court, you have the cheese touch. And no one will touch you. Then he got rid of it. He has a really rough summer. His brother was so mean to him. He made him sit in the back of his truck and got banged in the head with his drums. It really is all about a wimpy kid that writes in his journal about the good and bad times in his life.   For example he wanted to cheat on his test but then a girl said we should cover the paper that Greg was going to cheat off. Greg is the boy.

   I loved this book, because it talks about what’s in his journal. I like all the funny parts in the book. It is one of my favorite books. I loved reading this book, but now I can read  Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Last Straw. I hope you read this book. If you do have fun reading it.

Deep Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn

                       If you like scary stories well this book will blow your mind! This book is about a girl named Ali.  Her mother brings her books from her grandmother’s house who passed away. Ali becomes very suspicious when she finds a picture of her mother and her aunt and a girl. But, you could not see the girl, she was cut off. When Ali turned the picture she saw   her mom’s name her aunt’s and T. Who could this T be? Why is her mom so sad? Enjoy the book the book, and you might just want to read it again.

  I loved this because it’s scary and it’s a mystery at the same time. I think other people will like this book, because of the way you can imagine it. That’s why I recommend this book.    

Molly Moon Stops the World by Georgia Byng

       This book is about a girl named Molly who has hypnotic powers.  Her friend Lucy Logan also has hypnotic powers.  Lucy told Molly that a man named Primo Cell is hypnotizing the stars in Los Angeles .  Then Molly and her best friend Rocky go to Los Angeles and try to dehypnotize them.  At the end of the story Molly finds out a big secret about Primo and Lucy! 

   I loved this book!  It was a great mystery, funny, a teeny bit scary, confusing and great!  If you love mysteries this book is perfect for you!  

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

       This book is about a boy  named Greg who hates school and he wishes he could have things his way. He makes up these funny plans that turn out to be all messed up. He talks about his life, family, and friends. 

        This book is full of hilarious things. It is a novel in cartoons. It will be your favorite book. If you want more info, buy it. It feels like you’re in the book. So many people have read it an no one hated it. They loved it.

The Missing; Book One; FOUND Margaret Peterson Haddix

   In this book, there are tons of mysteries!  It was very scary and gave me a bad dream. It is about a thirteen year old boy who is adopted. He knows he is adopted and has no problem with it. Then, he and his new friend Chip who’s also adopted receive mysterious letters. One says “You are one of the missing. The other says “Beware, they are coming back to get you.” Jonah, Chip, and Jonah’s sister Katie are involved in a mystery that includes the F.B.I., a baby smuggling ring, and an airplane that appeared out of nowhere. Once you pick up this book, you will never want to put it down.

     I am a girl for mystery stories. I love scary books. This book is perfect for someone who loves mysteries as much as I do. It is very exciting. I recommend that you only read this book if you are not afraid of having bad dreams. When you get to the middle, you will scream in horror. Ahh! When you finished the book, you will feel like you’ve achieved a great task, because the book is very long. Hope you liked it as much as me.

The Meanest Doll in the World By Ann M. Martin

        My book is about the Palmers. In the Palmers house there are Grandma Katherine’s dolls who are alive. When the girls named Nora and Katie Palmers are grown up they buy the Funcraft dolls. When the dolls Annabelle and Tiffany Funcraft go to school they get in the wrong backpack. That’s when they meet the meanest doll in the world and her name is Mimi. They also make new friends.

         I like this book because in the book they made friends and helped them, and I want to do that too! Other people will love this book if they like fantasy and adventure books.

Brisingr By, Christopher Paolini

             Brisingr is a fantastic book.  In the book, Eragon, a dragon rider must find a weakness to Galbatorix.  Galbatorix is an evil emperor.  Eragon must also defeat even more Shades.  Shades are evil spirits back from the dead.  Eragon learn more secrets about dragons from Saphira.  Saphirais Eragon’s dragon.  There will be wars.  Can Eragon find a weakness to Galbatorix?  The only way to find out is to read it!

                This book has dragons and magic.  There was a lot of action and adventure.  Other people will like it because it is challenging.  Brisingr is 763 pages.  It has a great climax and it builds suspense.  If I could rate it from 1-10, I would give it a 10.
