Title: The Homework Machine
Author: Dan Gutman

This book I am reviewing is about four kids in the same group in school. But one kid named Brenton in the group invented a homework machine because he is a genious. Now all the kids in the group are using it to do their homework. Their teacher got suspicious because two of the kids Sam and Kelsey get B,s and C,s now their getting A,s and B,s. So she went to the principal and she said to give them a quiz. When the teacher gave them the quiz Sam and Kelsey failed, Judy got a C, and Brenton got an A. But Judy was a genious. Now that the machine is doing the work instead of them they are failing all their tests. I recommend this book for people who like mysteries. I particularly enjoy when they introduce the homework machine. I also recommend this book for people who don,t like homework.

Author: Bruce Coville.

This story is about a boy named Rod who was working on his science project when a toy size spaceship crashed through his window. Then mini-aliens asked for his help to fix their spaceship. Rod agrees to help them but he didn’t give them permission to use pieces of his science project to fix their ship. Then Rod regrets that he agreed to help the aliens fix their ship. Then crazy adventures start happening to Rod and the aliens.

I’m recommending this book because it gives you so many exciting details that you can’t stop reading. Also, they do things in the book that you least expect.

The Old Willis Place by Mary Downing Hanh

I’m suggesting The Old Willis Place because it’s adventurous.   It’s about 2 ghosts named Diana and Georgie and they’re spying on the new caretaker’s daughter named Lissa.  Diana wants to be friends with Lissa, but Georgie doesn’t.  When Lissa finally sees Diana she thinks Diana is a monster.  Lissa told her dad and her dad said it was just all in her imagination.  After that, Lissa fell asleep and Diana snuck into her room and read her diary.  When she finished reading her diary, she wrote a note saying she wasn’t a monster she just wanted to be her friend.  Diana told her to meet her somewhere near her house.          I’m recommending this book because it’s adventurous and scary.  What I mostly enjoyed about this book was Lissa meeting Diana.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J. K. Rowling.

Harry Potter is a good book because Harry and his friends Hermione and Ron have some really cool adventures that cost them lots of trouble .They almost get killed when they try to save the sorcerer’s stone because the person who killed his parents could come back to kill Harry Potter. One of Harry’s teachers wanted him killed because his teacher hated him. It was exiting to see how Harry got out of trouble.

Ms. Feiner is recommending The Tale of Despereaux, the story of a sickly little mouse, who falls in love with a princess named Pea. In order to protect the princess from her enemy, Despereaux must face a rat-infested dungeon filled with sadness and certain death. In the story we also meet a variety of strange, funny. and complicated characters who play important parts in Despereaux’s quest to save the princess. I love the way the author sweeps you up into the story from the very first page. She writes like she is talking straight to you and no one else, and the story she has to tell is thrilling, funny, and emotional all at the same time. This is also a great book to read with an adult, because adults will love it as much as children.
