This book is about a girl whose parents move from California to Pennsylvania.  She lives in a house that is freezing cold because the heater does not work.  It is always snowing where she lives. The girl who is new is named  Kate and the girl who guides her around name is Tiffany, who seems to be bad.  It turns out she actually is bad.    Kate follows Tiffany into the 1st grade bathroom, and finds out that Tiffany smokes with her friend Madison.   Kate gets on a plane alone with out her parents knowing, but her friend Molly is picking her up.   Also Molly’s parents don’t know that she is picking Kate up from the airport.    Molly’s mom doesn’t know that she is picking Kate.  I am recommending this book, because it is really good.

Mary, you summarized the book well. I hope that Kate doesn’t start smoking! Tell me she doesn’t.
