Little Brother: Classwork Information
I will post information pertaining to your reading of the novel here. The schedule will be posted on the class calendar, and any specific assignments (other than the scheduled ones) will be posted here.
Basic Assignment:
You will be given a certain amount of chapters to read per week (based on chapter length, school breaks, etc.), and you will have to make at least five comments per week on what you read. These comments can be on the reading itself, or they can respond to another student's ideas (i.e. comment on the comment). Each week, the work will be due on Wednesday, so make sure to use your time accordingly. The comments will be graded on a 4 point scale:
- 4 - an insightful, well-thought out comment or reflection
- 3 - a good comment that might be a little obvious
- 2 - a comment that relies mainly on summary
- 1 - a comment that does not add to the discussion at all
- 0 - no comment present, or it's totally off-topic
5 comments @ 4 points each = 20 points a week.
