North Football: Rams vs. White Plains (Homecoming Game)

by Kyle Unger

Game #7 vs. White Plains (W 34-21)
Friday, October 19th, 2012

In their sixth game of the season, the Clarkstown North Rams had lost senior Anthony Termine for the remainder of the season due to a back injury. For their seventh game the following week, the Rams were determined to win the game against White Plains for Anthony. Furthermore, the emotions were already skyrocketed because this was Clarkstown North’s Homecoming Game. With Termine leading the way out in his wheelchair, the Rams felt more comfortable in his presence. The Rams out in front and never let up the lead. Clarkstown North stormed to a 21-0 lead by halftime. In the second half, the Rams never really seemed to slow down. Although they scored a less amount of points and gave up more points than in the first half, their home-field dominance was still messing with White Plains players. Senior Frankie Regalbuto threw for a touchdown and ran for two of his own. Senior Billy DeLay was on the other end of Regalbuto’s TD pass and DeLay also caught two interceptions. Junior Matt McMullin ran for two of his own as well. The Rams coasted to a 34-21 victory to give them a 5-2 record on the season. North is definitely eligible for the playoffs, but the question is if they will make it in. Stay tuned and see if the Rams make the playoffs! The Rams had a very productive season as there are many seniors who will be missed for the 2013 season, but the season isn’t done yet!
