North Football: Rams vs. South

by Kyle Unger

Game #6 vs. South (L 14-7)
Friday, October 5th, 2012

This was the game that everyone in Clarkstown was waiting for; the rivalry match between Clarkstown North and South’s football teams. The Clarkstown North Rams hosted the Clarkstown South Vikings for the Rams’ fifth game of the season. With the field-advantage, the Rams stormed down the field first with a TD pass by senior Frankie Regalbuto to senior Ricky Straniere. Straniere would also end up leaving the game with a bruised collarbone and separated shoulder from a play later in the game on defense. Clarkstown South quickly answered with a run of their own to tie up the score. The game was mostly based on great defense. Each squad was quickly going 3-and-out and was forced to punt. After remaining tied at halftime, Clarkstown South scored first in the second half and continued to dominate with their defense. The Rams were shut out in the second half as they fell short to the Vikings 14-7. The Rams dropped to 3-2 on the season as now Clarkstown North gets set to face Mount Vernon on the road. We all know Mount Vernon is far, but come and support your school with team colors!
