North Football: Rams vs. Mount Vernon

by Kyle Unger

Game #6 @Mount Vernon (W 26-6)
Saturday, October 13th, 2012

For the sixth game of the season, the Rams went on the road to face Mount Vernon HS. Clarkstown North had a rather depressing defeat last week against town-rival Clarkstown South, so the Rams were fired up and ready to come out strong in the following game. Unfortunately for Mount Vernon, this was that match. The Rams only allowed Mount Vernon to get six points on the scoreboard as they fought for their well-deserved fourth win of the season. With that win, the Rams have clinched the playoffs, but the celebration wasn’t really the way the team had hoped. In the first half, senior Anthony Termine was going out to receive a pass from senior Frankie Regalbuto. Termine leaped in the opposite direction of where he was running because the pass was dropping behind him. On the fall, he landed in a very awkward position on his back and lost feeling in his legs. It was a very scary moment for the team and for the Termine family. Anthony’s season seems to have come to an end, as the passion of the team seems to have significantly decreased when the Rams won’t have their captain on the field Friday for their homecoming game. Termine is staying in Westchester County Medical and is at a slow start to just being back on his feet. Anthony will be in our thoughts during the game, as the Rams hope to get a win for him. Come and support the Rams against White Plains on Friday, October 19th for Clarkstown North’s homecoming game!
