Thursday, September 27th was the latest Board of Education meeting for the Clarkstown School District. A number of motions were passed that affected North:
- Contracts on a trial basis were given to three different geese management companies to determine the most effective and humane way to deal with the geese problem at both high schools and the middle school.
- Plans were approved to create a new concession stand and approximately 500 new seats for the football field. The current concession stand will be outfitted with electricity.
All in all, due to a strong presence at board meetings from PTSA President Dorothy Atzl, and the willingness of board members, many changes have been approved that benefit North and hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
