North Football: Rams vs. Carmel

by Kyle Unger

Game #4 @ Carmel (W 41-0)
Saturday, September 29th, 2012

After a loss against Ramapo at home last week, the Rams wanted to check their luck on the road. Their first game of the season was a home win at Scarsdale 33-14. Clarkstown North was hosted by Carmel for Carmel’s homecoming game. North was determined to end Carmel’s undefeated streak. The Rams came out with such intensity that once they scored first, they never looked back. Senior Frankie Regalbuto had two touchdown passes to senior Anthony Termine and junior Matt McMullin. McMullin ran for 99 yards on 9 carries with two rushing TD’s as well. Senior Billy Delay ran for 89 yards on 11 carries with a TD of his own. Regalbuto also ran for a 34-yard TD. It was a complete blowout to come from last week’s loss. The real story was the Rams’ defense. They didn’t give up a single point as they shutout Carmel 41-0. For the final TD of the game, junior Liam Donegan returned a 22-yard interception in the fourth.  It was an all around great game for the Rams as they go into next week with some charisma. Now that the North and South teams are both 3-1, they are both candidates for one of the four playoff spots in Section 1 Class AA. The rivalry between Clarkstown North and Clarkstown South will continue next week on Friday, October 5th. The bleachers will be packed so come early and get to your seats quickly! Come and support your Rams!
